Excited to be running fundraising events in 2021 to benefit The PHX Fund and the youth in the community. The next event would not be possible without the help of our local disc golf community and friends. Kristy Moore, local tournament director, volunteered her time and offered to TD the first sanctioned disc golf charity event for The PHX Fund Memorial. Since the event was not held last year, this is the 5th memorial event. We held a small memorial event in July at Blendon Woods that was successful is raising over $900! This was a putter only event and we had a great turnout. The energy was amazing and it was a fun challenge for the competitors. We hope to offer that fundraising event again next year. Discs will be flying Sunday, October 24 to honor the spirit and life of a wonderful young man. The fund is currently collecting lists of classroom items needed for local youth from teachers in 4 schools with orthopedically impaired students to spend the funds collected from disc sales, small events, and individual contributions in 2020-21. We look forward to sharing how everyone’s support has benefited youth in our community and is giving them an opportunity to learn and grow.
